East Olympian Torch
    Guidance Department

More than half of a high school student’s subjects are determined by state requirements for graduation.  The balance may be selected from a wide variety of academic, vocational, and fine arts courses.
    • 11 Advanced Placement courses are offered at Columbus East High School.
    • Columbus East High School awards a general diploma, the Indiana Core 40 diploma, an Advanced Core 40 diploma and the Indiana Academic Honors diploma to students who have completed the specific requirements for a diploma and have passed the Indiana Graduation Qualifying Examination (GQE).
    • Guidance counselors assist students in selecting courses and in applying to postsecondary schools and colleges.

    Seniors need to register at
www.parchment.com to request their transcripts.  We had a senior meeting and discussed Naviance account information with them.  On their Naviance account, the seniors need to make sure their email address is updated.  This is where they will automatically receive emails where they can click on the parchment site to request transcripts also.   Seniors  are also able to explore college and career choices along with adding their resumes to their Naviance account. Questions?  Please contact the Guidance Center at 376-4357.
