Please contact the Columbus East Dean’s office at 376-4494 so that we may process your exit from East.
You will be unable to enroll at another school until you have been officially withdrawn from East.

Congratulations to the Fine Arts Academic Team for winning the state championship in the Indiana Academic Super Bowl state finals at Purdue University on May 5. It was the Fine Arts team’s 4th state championship since 2004, giving it the most state championships in fine arts of any school in the history of the Indiana Academic Super Bowl. The members of the Fine Arts team are Ian Finerfrock, Nick Hubbard, Nate Riley, Katie Schmidt, and Amanda Sun, and they are coached by Mr. Lewis.

The Science and Social Studies academic teams also competed on Saturday and each finished fourth in the state. The Columbus East academic teams have now won a total of 13 state championships since 2000, making it the most successful competitive team ever at Columbus East.

The Food Service Department will again be hosting a free/reduced open house for parents to get a jump start on filling their free/reduced forms for School year 2012-2013.

Those attending the open house will have their forms processed prior to starting the first day of school and will have one less thing to worry about for those hectic first days of school.

The open house will be August 1, 2012 from 5-7pm at Foundation For Youth. Spanish forms will be available and we will have interpreters available.

The Columbus East High School 2012 Student Art Exhibit

Please stop in to view the exhibit until noon on Friday. Find your favorite art history style in the 2-dimensional drawings and paintings, the 3-dimensional pottery and sculptures, photography and digital design artworks from the Visual Communications class. Enjoy looking at the student pieces but please do not touch or move any artwork.

STUDENTS: Please check the lost and found for any of your missing items. Also, anything left in your locker after the last student day will be thrown away so make sure to clean out your locker and turn in your books to the Bookstore.

The National Spanish Examinations are online, standardized assessment tools for Grades 6-12, given voluntarily by over 3500 teachers throughout the United States to measure proficiency and achievement of students who are studying Spanish as a second language.
