East senior, Adam Kruchten, is honored as an Indiana Academic All-Star in Indianapolis, on April 11, 2012,

This is an outstanding honor that Adam is very worthy of.  The Indiana Association of School Principals select 40 individuals from a pool of 226 nominations.  Each Indiana high school can nominate one senior.  The committee looks beyond the GPA's to determine their top 40. 

 

A few statistics that were shared included:

A second part of the nomination involves the senior writing a short essay about their most influential educator.  Adam chose Eric Gutjahr as his most influential educator. Earlham College and Franklin College each select two teachers from the essays to recognize with a certificate and $1000.  Eric was chosen by Earlham College to receive this recognition and is also very worthy of this award.
