    23101   Earth and Space Science I - Semester 1

                Open to grades 10,11,12

                1 semester, 1 credit

    In Earth and Space Science 1, students study the universe, the Earth, and the processes that shape the Earth. Students study how the Earth operates as a collection of connected systems.  Student will learn that some of those systems are changing while others are in equilibrium.

    Prerequisite(s): 23102 Earth and Space Science I - Semester 1

    In second semester Earth and Space Science, students study the concepts of energy, matter, conservation and gravity.  Students apply these concepts to the Earth, solar system, and universe.  Students also develop a concept of scale of time and size for the Earth, planets, and stars.
