We support BCSC and its mission. We believe in the power of: Partnerships, Collaborations, Innovations, Inclusiveness and Diversity. The Foundation has adopted broad goals that include: Improved literacy for all students and improved and expanded experiences for all high school students. The Foundation has broad community financial support for its projects. Each year it reaches out to private individuals, businesses, and charitable foundations to help fund its activities. These contributions have enabled the Foundation to consistently support scholarships and a wide range of “Bright Ideas” grants. We thank Merlyn Bartlett for serving on the School Foundation board from 1992-2011! We wish him well in his new endeavors in the community. Foundation Board meetings are normally held the second Tuesday of each month from noon to 1:00 p.m. at the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation Administration Building. Executive Director: Janice Montgomery joined the foundation as the director in March 2009. She served as a BCSF board member while working with the Center for Teaching and Learning. She comes with a background of the elementary classroom and administration. Janice is eager to help the board become even stronger as it champions the outstanding educational initiatives in BCSC and continue the work of the former directors, Suzzette Holmes and Katherine Miller, with the strong board leadership that continues through the last 50 years.
