  • Education plays a role in fostering individuals' understanding of various languages and cultures in the world; not only understanding them, but appreciating and honoring them for their unique qualities and contributions to our global community.
  • Education plays a role in nurturing individuals' skills and values to work and to live cooperatively with a sense of mutual interest and respect for others in our community, nation and world.
  • Given that the world grows smaller and the need for greater collaboration among economies and nations increases, our efforts to add to our world language offerings and to increase students' understanding and respect for other cultures are vital.
