Welcome to the Columbus North English department! We are very proud of our standards-based curriculum that consists of both core and elective classes.
- Freshman year: two semester core, literature is genre-based, includes composition, grammar, vocabulary, and speech
- Sophomore year: two semester core, world literature based, includes composition, grammar, vocabulary, and speech
- Junior year: first semester is core American literature; second semester is a choice from six junior electives in literature and composition
- Senior year: first semester is core British literature; second semester is a choice from eight senior electives in literature and composition

Junior Advanced Placement Literature and Composition (syllabus certified by AP College Board) Senior English: W131 (composition), J202 (literature), dual credit option with Indiana University, Bloomington
