Six Sigma

As part of the work of the Special Education CIC, BCSC will partner with Cummins in the implementation of the Six Sigma process in relation to special education needs and improvement.  Currently, external experts are being identified and a discovery phase has begun as team members are identified and initial data collected. 

Indiana Department of Education Compliance Report

BCSC special education was monitored for compliance with for Indicators identified by the department of education. 

Indicator 11 – meets the required time lines for evaluation of school age students.

Indicator 12 – meets the required time lines for evaluation and the initiation of services to early childhood students.

Indicator 13 – all IEPs for students age thirteen and older contain the required transition plan components.

Indicator 20 – all reports and data were submitted on time and accurately.

BCSC was in compliance with all four indicators. 

Other

Indiana Protection and Advocacy has developed an excellent resource called Transition Planning Handbook and has informed BCSC they will provide 1600 copies to be distributed to BCSC students and families.

2011-2012 Meeting Schedule

All meetings will be at Central Middle School from 12:00-1:00.

Jan. 18, Feb. 15, March 14, April 18, May 16.
