Cornerstone Helpful Tips

1.  Remember that work for student's classes should be saved to the students' e-lockers.  Always consider if an assignment or project would be good to include in the Cornerstone Portfolio and save it in elocker location.

2.  What might be good assignments to include in the Portfolio?  Students should include work that

  • is exemplary
  • demonstrates growth or change
  • requires special effort or time
  • requires successful collaboration
  • is new or original for the student

3.  “Learning Expectations” is the focus of Cornerstone as academic work is saved and examined.  ANY evidence of growth, both academic and personal, can be saved including: C4 and career-related work, evidence of participation in extra-curricular activities (newspaper articles and photos), community service, public speaking experiences, scouting, etc…

4. If necessary, ask for instructions as to how to save student work.  HOW TO SCAN WORK

5. There is a portion of the Roundtable Presentation that requires students to address the CEHS Mission Statement.  It is printed here and can be copied as necessary:
