C4 serves over 3000 students:

·         5 counties (Bartholomew, Brown, Decatur, Jackson and part of Johnson)

·         11 high schools

C4 offers flexible curriculum:                                                 

·         1, 2, 3, and 4 period/mod classes

·         10 cluster areas

·         131 course options

·         More than 600 community school-to-work partnerships

 

C4 curriculum:

·         Is competency based

·         Is aligned with state language arts and math standards

·         Is up-to-date with current economic needs

·         Provides college credit (2093 credits were earned last year)

·         Is certified by the American Red Cross, American Dental Association,

            ProStart (Culinary Arts), National Association of Home Builders,

            ASE/NATEF (Automotive Industry), and the State of Indiana

 

C4 students:

·         Are freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors

·         Participate in youth leadership and skill clubs

·         Earn all types of diplomas – 16% earn Academic Honors,

      45% earn Core 40, 49% earn General Diplomas

·         Rate their satisfaction with high school at a much higher

      rate than non-C4 students

·         Graduate at a higher rate than non-C4 students

·         Enroll in postsecondary education in greater numbers than non-C4 students

·         Earn more money than non-C4 students who enter the workforce

 

C4 students go on to college!

·         61% of C4 students go to over 100 different in-state and

      out-of state universities

 

C4 students meet or exceed state standards:

·         90% achieve academic level

·         90% achieve skills level

·         25% are in non-traditional classes

 

C4 generates revenue for the BCSC general fund:

·         Additional pupil count (state reimbursement and tuition) = $1.5 million

·         State and federal grants annually = $600,000
