Course Description: Art Advanced 1 is for the serious, self-motivated student, who wants advanced studio time for creating two-dimensional art. Students in this class will follow a curriculum of both assigned problems and independent studies. Students will: (1) develop more in-depth skills in drawing, painting and design, (2) reflect upon the outcomes of their work, (3) explore historical connections, (4) work individually and in groups, (5) explore career options

Prerequisite(s): Advanced Art 1 with a “ C” or above

Course Description: Art Advanced 2 is a continuation of Art Advanced 1. It is for the serious, self-motivated student, who wants advanced studio time for creating two-dimensional art. Students in this class will follow a curriculum of both assigned problems and independent studies. Students will: (1) develop more in-depth skills in drawing, painting and design, (2) reflect upon the outcomes of their work, (3) explore historical connections, (4) work individually and in groups, (5) explore career options.

 
 
This course can be repeated multiple times beyond Advanced Art 2. It is for the serious student interested in taking art all four years.  Each Advanced course is primarily independent study.
