    Sheriff

Sheriff Matt Myers has served our community as a law enforcement officer for more than 25 years. He has extensive public safety experience, serving as a member of both the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office and the Columbus Police Department. He is a graduate of Columbus North High School where he ran Cross Country and received the Mental Attitude Award which was presented to a student athlete and based on: Attitude and Conduct both in and outside of school and Sportsmanship. He is a 1989 graduate of Vincennes University where he received an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice and a 2010 graduate of the FBI National Academy. Sheriff Myers has also participated in numerous state and national law enforcement educational and training programs.  We are excited for him to share his story regarding overcoming obstacles and being the best version of himself.
