The BCSC Pre-Kindergarten Program is a federally funded program for children living in the district served by the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation. Following a successful pilot program for Lincoln children, it was expanded to eight sites beginning in the 1993-1994 school year. This program strives to address the educational needs of children that will assist them in becoming successful students when they enter Kindergarten.

To be eligible for this program, children must be 4 years old on or before August 1st of the current school year.

The curriculum of the Pre-K Program is Reggio Emilia inspired.

Applications for the program can be found on line or in any Elementary School office beginning Thursday, January 7th, 2016.  Limited scholarships are available. This is not a free program.

The PreKindergarten program will be available at selected sites throughout the district in order to serve BCSC students.  PreK programs will be in session Monday through Friday following the BCSC calendar.  PreKindergarten classes for those living in the Clifty Creek and Schmitt Elementary schools are housed at Busy Bees Academy 1209 Sycamore Street.  Limited busing is available at most sites.
