“Edna Folger set the early standard for teachers. In her honor, the award was designed to raise awareness about the immeasurable influence teachers have on their students and to recognize the image of teachers as important community role models. Sponsored by Faurecia, the award includes a stipend of $4,000, a personal award from the IUPUC Center for Teaching and Learning, and the recipient’s name will be added to a permanent plaque located in the Columbus Learning Center. It is not intended as a lifetime achievement award for educators who might be ending their professional careers.”
Nominations are open for this year's Edna V. Folger Outstanding Teacher Award.
All nominations for the Folger Award remain under active consideration for a period of three years. We strongly encourage you to update and add to the nomination packet each year. All nominations and updates are due to the Center for Teaching and Learning at IUPUC by 4 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019.
